Tellurion is a masterfully drawn wordless graphic novel that immerses its reader into a mysterious and rich world. The story follows an aimless young man and his newfound robotic mentor navigating a treacherous and thrilling land, encountering foes and allies, packed with action and adventure, as well as a little romance. Matt Rhodes creates a story that draws from the same wellspring as Conan, Prince Valiant, and Treasure Planet, all stories that young men should read.
By forgoing words, Matt shows how powerful images can be. Drawing upon his experience as a concept artist for video games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age Inquisition, Matt Rhodes expresses action, narrative and heart through illustrations that draws you in and holds your attention.
The attention to detail provides a human touch to Tellurion. Matt puts a great deal of thought into his work. From the details of the environment that show a hidden history of the world to the main character's change from young boy into a proud warrior. All said without words. Tellurion is a story that you do not want to just experience once, but pour over and appreciate, drinking in each panel of gorgeous art.
